Awake To The Sound of Nature with Wildly, The Alarm that Donates to Wildlife Conservation with Every Snooze

Jul 3, 2019

Live on Kickstarter, Wildly lets users awake to the calls of the animal kingdom while benefiting wildlife conservation.

Washington, D.C. - July 3, 2019 /MarketersMedia/ —

Wildly, the revolutionary new alarm clock app that helps animal lovers donate to wildlife conservation charities simply by snoozing in the morning, is live on global crowdfunding platform Kickstarter and raising funds to bring the project to life.

Over half of Americans reach for a few extra minutes of sleep every morning by hitting snooze on their alarm clock. Now, thanks to the Wildly app, users can catch a few extra zzz’s and with every press of the snooze button automatically make a small donation to a wildlife conservation charity directly in support of the animal which woke them up.

“For most of us, snoozing is just part of the day. However, it's hard to avoid the inherent guilt tied to every single snooze. At Wildly, we want to change that,” says co-founder Russell Hawkins. “What if the guilty feeling of snoozing could be turned into something good for the world?"

To begin, users choose their favorite animals to sound as their alarm in the morning. Over 100 animals are currently available with more being constantly added. Instead of the usual digital beeps and boops associated with phone alarms, sleepers now can wake up to the sound of an animal they admire—from the call of an orangutan to the howl of a gray wolf. Each animal on the Wildly app is assigned to a specific charity that has a program aimed to help the species and/or its ecosystem.

From there, users add a payment method and select a donation amount that will automatically be charged for every snooze—25¢, 50¢, 75¢, or $1. Part of Wildly's goal is to make donating to wildlife conservation fun, easy, and transparent. At any time, users can review how often they’ve snoozed, which charities they’ve supported, and how much they’ve donated.

“We look at Wildly as one of those rare win-win-win situations. Our success translates into increased funds for the best wildlife conservation organizations, which in turn, translates into healthier wildlife populations,” adds Hawkins. “With a user base of 10,000 users...snoozing once per morning...for 30 days...each donating a dollar...Wildly would generate $300,000 a month for wildlife and environmental conservation around the planet. Increase the number of users to around 33,000...and we will be collecting close to $1 million a month to benefit wildlife!”
