Spiritual Leader Publishes Workbook for Bible Study

Aberdeen, United States - January 12, 2018 /NewsNetwork/ —

Michael Dorsey spiritual growth leader and owner of Malakim Press is offering his workbook on how to study the bible. Michael a 20 year veteran to spiritual studies started writing books several years ago. Michael says “The workbook is meant to be a study guide for the Bible. There’s no reason you can’t become a skilled Bible student in your own right. Just take the exercises revealed in this workbook and apply them to the parts of the Bible that interest you the most. Once you start becoming proficient at Bible study, God will bless your determination with fresh insights and revelation from the treasures of His Word.”

Rev. Michael Dorsey recalls that as a young boy in Sunday School, they would sometimes compete in a game called Sword Drills. This game taught children how to find their way around the Bible quickly. This game became the inspiration for the title of this workbook. Rev. Michael Dorsey continued saying that “The book began as part of a 4-week course I taught at Riverside Church in the summer of 2013.”

Reverend Dorsey recalls that the original course covered information about the Bible, Bible study tools, and Bible study methods. That material is all included in the book How To Study Your Bible. The students also did hands-on exercises during the class to learn the various different Bible study methods. Those exercises have been expanded to create the Sword Drills workbook.

How to Study the Bible Workbook Workbook will answer all of the questions about the meaning of Bible verses, and what they are meant to teach you through Verse studies. Also how to read the Bible daily consistently with a unique plan to read the Bible through every year. And how to gain an overview of Bible books as well as the entire Bible through survey studies.

Senators grill social media companies over terrorist posts

Jan 18, 2018

NEW YORK — Lawmakers grilled executives Facebook, Google's YouTube and Twitter on Wednesday about what the companies are doing to prevent terrorists from using their platforms to spread propaganda and recruit new followers. The Senate's commerce, science and transportation committee hearing comes amid growing government scrutiny over misuse of social media platforms and questions about what the companies are doing to prevent it. And it comes after November's exhaustive congressional hearings on what the companies knew — and did — about Russia's efforts to meddle with the 2016 U.S. elections using their platforms. Lawmakers acknowledged that the companies, especially Google...

Scientists seek super-shot for flu 100 years after pandemic

Jan 18, 2018

WASHINGTON — The descriptions are haunting. Some victims felt fine in the morning and were dead by night. Faces turned blue as patients coughed up blood. Stacked bodies outnumbered coffins. A century after one of history's most catastrophic disease outbreaks, scientists are rethinking how to guard against another super-flu like the 1918 influenza that killed tens of millions as it swept the globe. There's no way to predict what strain of the shape-shifting flu virus could trigger another pandemic or, given modern medical tools, how bad it might be. But researchers hope they're finally closing in on stronger flu shots,...

All will be on display when the show opens to the public Saturday, with a charity preview on Friday night. Here are five things we learned from the preview this week: TRUCKS ARE KING Pickups are...

Intel underfoot: Floor sensors rise as retail data source

Jan 18, 2018

MILWAUKEE — The next phase in data collection is right under your feet. Online clicks give retailers valuable insight into consumer behavior, but what can they learn from footsteps? It's a question Milwaukee-based startup Scanalytics is helping businesses explore with floor sensors that track people's movements. The sensors can also be used in office buildings to reduce energy costs and in nursing homes to determine when someone falls. But retailers make up the majority of Scanalytics' customers, highlighting one of several efforts brick-and-mortar stores are undertaking to better understand consumer habits and catch up with e-commerce giant Amazon. Physical stores...

CEO: Mercedes may miss emission goal if electrics don't sell

Jan 18, 2018

DETROIT — If customers don't buy electric and more efficient cars and trucks, then Mercedes may not be able to meet government-imposed carbon dioxide emissions standards across the globe, its top executive says. Dieter Zetsche, CEO of German automaker Daimler AG and head of its Mercedes luxury division, told reporters at the Detroit auto show Monday that he can't guarantee compliance. Daimler said it is spending 10 billion euros to develop new electric vehicles in the coming years and says it will launch a production model of its EQ electric brand in this decade. By 2022, the company says it...
